Hey, everybody, welcome to another episode of Purple Insider, Matthew Collar here.

And I got to tell you, this was one of those days where I could not wait to get home,

fire up the live stream and talk football with all of you guys because

a lot of stuff happened at Minnesota Vikings training camp today. And I had a feeling

yesterday because it was a fairly light practice with pads. And this was going to be a very, very physical practice because tomorrow I believe is going to be a very very physical practice because

tomorrow I believe is going to be a walk through and then Monday night is the

night practice it's been hot out there the guys have been hitting each other

quite a bit they probably all need a preseason game at this point and as

camp does sometimes things boiled over a little bit today so i want to

dive into exactly what happened with a i wouldn't call it quite a melee or a fracas or fracas

however you say it but i would definitely say that there was a lot of pushing and shoving.

There was a lot of angry words exchanged. And there was also some guys that were pretty

pumped up about this team and the way that they responded and backed up each other. And that

begins with quarterback J.J. McCarthy. So I'm going to tell you about the biggest moment,

the most notable moment and one that honestly, if J.J. McCarthy becomes what the Minnesota

Vikings want him to become. We're going to talk about this one for years. This will become

JJ McCarthy lore if he takes them where the Vikings are trying to go. So let me take it through you through it.

So throughout the practice,

there was just pushing and shoving in general

because they have gotten very physical with each other,

offensive and defensive line.

I'm sure the offensive line has heard about how the defense is pushing them around.
