Hey, everybody, welcome to another episode of Purple Insider, Matthew Collar here.

And once again, I've just returned home from TCO Performance Center,

where the Vikings had one of their longest and most aggressive practices of the year. And they will have a day off tomorrow.

So they were in full pads all out a serious battle today between the offense and the defense.

So we have to start, of course, in the place that we begin every single show, which is how did J.J. McCarthy

look. And the answer, I think, might be with a lot of caveats to it, that it was not an incredible

bounce back day from yesterday. It wasn't the hopes and dreams magical QB1 superstar type of day after a bad

practice yesterday that maybe you were dreaming of. But I thought it was a practice that had some

ups and downs for J.J. McCarthy similar to yesterday. He has not had a practice where I have left thinking,

oh my gosh, they are in trouble. But these last two, we have seen the defense and even going back

to two days ago where they had their first padded practice at the end. And it was a really, really ugly situational drill.

Well, there was some of that today as well.

So I thought he started out to practice pretty good, seven on sevens,

getting some throws in.

And throughout the day, it was another situation where the defense was pretty darn fantastic. So let's go

through that. And then I've got some J.J. McCarthy for you guys to listen to because he spoke

with us today. Matt Daniels did as well. And the owner of the Minnesota Vikings. And I got something

special for you there, a question that I asked

Mark Wilf that I know you guys have been dying to know. So that's a little later in the show.

But let's go through this a little bit with McCarthy.

Once again, when it came to throws over the middle, he was on point and hit several strong throws over the middle of the

field.
