Matthew Collar here, a little bit behind usual schedule because right behind me, there was a

concert going on, I guess, to celebrate the Vikings win over the Green Bay Packers.

But here we are, Dane Mizatani of the Pioneer Press will join momentarily. So I can start my opening

statement and then after 10 minutes of talking, he'll finally get here. But this is a,

as memorable of a victory for the Minnesota Vikings as they have had since when forever all time.

I mean, this one right here was the game that all season long we talked about as the

prove it game, the one that would define how you remember this season, how we think of Sam

Darnold as the Minnesota

Vikings quarterback. And not only did Darnold show up, but he outperformed Jordan Love by

50 miles in this game. And Love was able to come back late in the game. We'll talk about that.

And the defense's inability to get off the field, Kevin O'Connell's aggressive approach of which he made no apologies for after the game,

and it both giveeth and taketh away at the end of this game when the Vikings were able to

close it out by passing, but also got themselves into the situation by passing.

But we have to just begin with Sam Darnold.

An incredible, incredible performance from Sam Darnold, over 300 yards. Once again,

over 100 quarterback rating. And the most important part was for me about Darnold, that this
