among Breaking View's calmness about the ups and downs of the world of finance. I'm Jennifer

Sabah. Over the past several months, we've seen an escalating trade war between China and the

United States, with both countries slapping taxes on a variety of goods.

But trade talks between President Trump and his counterpart in China, President Xi Jinping, were held in

Argentina at the G20 summit over the weekend. The dinner between the leaders was successful in one way.

It bought the U.S. and the People's Republic additional time to hash out a deal.

So how will this all play out? We're going to look at this from both sides of the Pacific,

but first we're going to Washington to chat with my colleague, Gina Chan. Hi, Gina.

Gina, from my viewpoint, it looks like President Trump is playing a very dangerous game of chicken.
