So, Pete, why are we talking about Nissan this week?

Why has it been in the news?

Well, I mean, we've all been following this kind of tragic,

what would you call it, play that's been going on between Nissan and its partner, Renault,

and also in the wings is Fiat Chrysler. Nissan itself has been having its own problems very much of

its, that have been

kind of let all the headlines, namely the charging of Carlos Gown with alleged financial

malfeasance. This created a bunch of disruption in the company. He was succeeded as it were

by this guy Herodos Saikawa,'s this career Nissan guy he took a run at

turning things around he was supposed to be the kind of transition candidate it's been disastrous

no it's gone really badly um I think the last quarter um net income went down by like 95% they had

repeatedly like laid out negative forecasts and then missed even those.

So he's just resigned. He's resigned and he resigned under a cloud.
