Hi, my name is Tom Rosenbar, and I have a new book out. It's called

Fly Fishing for Trout, The Next Level, like the World Needs

Another Fly Fishing Book, right? So why did I write this book? Well I wrote it because in talking

to other anglers people I meet on the water and fly shops people that write in questions to my podcast, I often get this question.

How do I take my fishing to the next level? How do I get better?

I've been to a fly fishing school. A friend of mine taught me

had a cast. I've been out a few times. I kind of feel lost on the water. What do I do next? What are the things that I need to learn and what are the things that maybe I can save for later and don't really need to learn right now?

So I've been a flyfisher for over 50 years. I've been involved in the flyfishing

industry my whole adult life and a lot of my teenage years and I love flyfishing. I never get tired of it. You're always learning

and I love sharing that with other people. So you know fly fishing is supposed to be fun.

You want to go out there and, yeah, we all get skunked now and then.

Everybody has a rough day, everybody gets skunked.

But you want to try to keep those to a minimum. You want to feel

comfortable out there with your fishing. You want to feel a little bit more adept at it. So that's the reason

I wrote this book. You know, I wrote it here for the most part in this little in this little

corner I have my computer here where I write the words and edit pictures and produce videos.

I've got my fly tying desk here, have my tunes, have my bookshelf, and I also, believe believe it or not have a little wild trout stream in my

backyard so if I need a break from writing if I get tired of sitting at the computer

I can step out the back door and look at the way water flows through a pool or observe some fish

feeding if I'm lucky or take some underwater pictures of bugs.

So I'm pretty lucky in that respect.

But actually, the book wasn't written here.
