What's up guys? If you're on Spotify right now, please follow the show so that you don't miss any future episodes and leave a five-star review. Thank you. On the outskirts of Manu National Park, this guy, local guy, started going into the jungle and like leaving them piles of bananas because they're hunter-gatherers. They don't have, they don't have metal. They missed out on the wheel. They've never held a spoon. These are people that are out there. So if you'd leave them a machete and some bananas and they'd come take it. Then after like a year, he would start being there when they came to take it. And then after some time, he was actually able to interact with them. He could only speak a few words of their language. What did they speak? They're called the Mashkopiro tribe. And so they speak some sort of, some dialect of the Yenai language.

But this guy who was interacting with them, one day they found him, they call it porcupine,

0:42.3

arrows sticking up out of his body, like several Arabs.

0:45.3

We don't know why they killed him. Well, Rosalie.

Yeah, it was actually, it was a different vibe because we had you left the studio after like 40 minutes and we're sitting right out there, but we had like four people in here at one point and then we had on the side like the commentary, I've never had that before where like someone can like add something in there is fucking awesome so the question i had asked on that one right when we introduced you

1:53.6

and that's that's a perfect lead in because it's so crazy that that has become

2:00.3

such a huge thing because I have spent the last 17 years my entire adult life doing one thing,

And I said, cool, we'll show you all the science. We'll show you how ecologically relevant they are. We'll do everything. And they said, that's awesome. They said, but it's not enough. They're like, we want, we want more. And I was like, what do you want? Like anacons

2:14.6

2:34.5
