Today, I am joined on the airwaves by Video Archive Cinema Club manager, Matt Lansman,

to chat about the calendar for the week of Monday, January 13th.

Hey, Matt.

Hey, Gala. This is our first time recording separately for one of

these episodes, but I'm really happy that we were able to make it happen. I am too. So as our

listeners know, we had a little break over the holidays and now we are back in the theater. Some

great shows played last week with some amazing crowds that came out and now we are back in the theater. Some great shows played last week with

some amazing crowds that came out and we are even further touched because Los Angeles is currently

experiencing an extreme disaster and fires are all over the city with hundreds of thousands

of people being impacted. I'm an Angelino born and raised, and I love my city.

So to see our neighborhoods coming together and supporting each other really affects me deeply.

I love you guys.

I just have to say that I think it's really cool that we're staying open for the people who need

something to do, who need to take their mind off of what's going on.

Like it was it was really like cool to me to see that the Beverly and the vista were like keeping their doors open.

And I'm going to be there.

Like unless I have to evacuate or, you know, the theater has to evacuate or anything like that.

Like I think it's important that

people have a place to go where there's air conditioning and water and snacks and just something

that they can take their mind up of everything that's going on. And I got very emotional in Pam's
