Today I am joined on the airwaves by Video Archive Cinema Club manager Matt Lansman

to chat about the calendar for the week of Monday, February 10th.

Hey, Matt.

Hey, Gala.

Well, by the time that this airs, the calendar will be out of the

bag. And so Matt and I thought we would talk about the month of February, kind of the overall

theme and the design for this calendar, which I've heard is going to be printed on, is it outrageous

orchid? Yes, it, is it outrageous orchid?

Yes, it will be on outrageous orchid color paper.

When we were looking at the paper colors, I was thinking about those like little candy

hearts because Jill, who I wrote with, who is like one of my cinematic universe people,

but Jill and I were talking about like making a candy salad out of candy hearts, candy corn, and then like something else that's also equally terrible.

Because it's like you're eating like chalk and like glue.

But I love those candies.

I love candy corn.

Well, the Bev calendar is pink and the vista calendar is like that pastel yellow.

So with this one being purple, they really will be in those like little sweethearts colors.

I love it. I love a theme. So speaking of themes, let's talk about kind of the overall theme for

the month. And when I was just like taking my first look at the

calendar, I noticed something that's not always on there, which are nods to Oscar nominations.
