In preparing for my part today, knowing it was, you know, Mother's Day, I've spoken on Mother's Day

numerous times here and many other churches. Got a lot of notes on Mother. And I was thinking

about it, and I was prepared to suspend my

series we've been teaching on about victory over death

talk about some of these things and then get back to that

you know next week or I better not say what I'm going to do

but I follow I follow orders.

But anyway, the Lord prompted me no.

And he brought something to my remembrance that I hadn't thought about in a long time.

It's an experience that my grandmother had that she shared with me and with the whole family, and she probably told me and others this experience, I don't know, over the course of all my growing up with her, at least scores of times, maybe more.

My grandmother, who's in heaven now, everybody called around the house in the community,

Sister Lena Pearl.

We're from the South.

In the South, you need good double names.

In case something happens to one of the names, you You got another real good one right there.

Ready.

And they have to have a flow to them.

Kind of a poetic, you know, Billy Bob.

And all of us did.

Well, my grandmother is Lena Pearl.

She was secretary and treasurer of the local Pentecostal church there for, I don't, decades.

And multiple generations, she saw and talked.
