Summary

Jake is once again joined by Stephen Thomas (@BrownsMockDraft) as they bring you their initial thoughts from the TV view of the Browns 14-7 thrilling win over the Vikings. The message today (AGAIN) Joe Woods and the Browns defense is real. While the Browns offense, and quarterback Baker Mayfield, failed through most of the day, the defense brought about another dominating performance when they needed it most. Holding the Vikings to seven points and pressuring him on half of his collective dropbacks. The offense and kicker Chase McLaughlin did just enough to get the points needed. Jake and Steve break down where it went right, where it went wrong, and discuss the importance of this 3-1 start in 2021. More will come later this week when the All-22 is consumed for deep dives on both sides of the football. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

whatever way you want to spend your feelings, a Victory Monday podcast after the Browns win, a 14 to 7 slugfest. Steve, how are you, my friend? It was a win. End of pod, right? I mean, we can just hang up. That's it. We're done. Thanks for listening, guys. We'll catch you later at Beer 30. So, look, I said on the Twitch show, Steve, I don't know. I've always seen like, hey, man, I need a cigarette to calm my nerves or whatever. Like, after an exhausting, exhausting feat, you can use that exhausting feat however you would like to,

1:11.9

but the nature of that was such a whirlwind experience. I need a cigarette. I've never smoked

1:17.5

a cigarette in my adult life, believe it or not. But that was like, I feel so worn out at the

1:24.7

end of that game. And we're going to talk about the highs and the lows of that thing, but boy, was that, like, all I can say was it was an experience, right? Like, we watched a football game. Well, honestly, I don't know if we thought it would be that low scoring, but to be perfectly honest, I said this all week, you know, and you saw it in print. I said it on Twitch. I said, there's

1:45.0

apparently people out there that were under the impression. They were going to walk in and just,

1:48.6

you know, 40 to 6. Like they were going to wax this team. And, and that was never the case.

1:55.6

There was two things that I thought going in. One, I said this way back on Monday. The Vikings

2:00.6

coming into today

2:01.7

were a questionable call on a fumble. I still don't know if that was a fumble week one in overtime

2:07.7

against the Bengals and a missed 37-yard chip shot from being 3-0. Okay, so I, you know, the margin of

2:14.3

error is so razor thin. And today, I mean, they were insert any number of plays away from being four or no.
