Is it all about steam and punk?

Some people would have us believe so.

They would have us believe that unless there's steam in there and punk is not steampunk.

Unfortunately, that is based upon a huge misapprehension, which is where the name comes from.

It's a quote from KW Jetta, a letter written to Locust Magazine in 1987.
