Today we're going to speak to one of the men hoping to be the next president of FC Barcelona, Victor Fondt.

Victor is a successful businessman and is also the former associate of his rival presidential

candidate, Joan LaPorteur.

And Victor sat down with the athletics match later to sell as his vision for the club

and why he thinks he should be the man to lead Barsa back to the summit of European and

world football. After we've heard

from Victor, we'll talk to the athletic Spanish football correspondent Dermott Corrigan to unpick the

interview and assess the overall picture in the race for the Barcelona presidency. So here is Matt

That is correct. Obviously, COVID permitting.

Okay. So look, just for non-Barser fans, non-la-league experts,

just explain to me a little bit out, first of all, the election

process and why Barcelona has elections, some of the background and how that works.

Because we are a unique club, obviously the ownership of the club sits with its members.

We have now 150,000 people that are members. And being member, it's just,

you know, paying a yearly fee and you are a member. Obviously, there are some conditions for you

to be eligible, but it's pretty open, especially if you have relatives that are members already.

And then every based on the current rules of the game, every six years, members elect the board
