Victor, thanks so much for joining us. Thank you for having me. Always a pleasure, and the more we see

polling, especially even since the beginning of the year, the more we see Hispanics move against

the president and against Democrats. In some polls, Hispanics have a lower approval rating for the president than even whites across the country.

Republicans for a long time said if we can get comprehensive immigration reform, then Hispanics will support us.

And Democrats for the longest time essentially have said, well, demographics are destiny, and they'll always support Democrats.

Hispanics will always support Democrats.

Is it possible both parties were wrong?

No, I think it's probable that they were, and I should be a little stronger.

It's certain they were.

I think most of people who came from Mexico or Central America for the large part the last 30 years

are starting to, at least in the American Southwest, are starting to be, you know,

entrepreneurial, middle class citizens. And a lot of them own, their contractors, electricians, plumbers, small business people.

There's a shift in the Hispanic community between their children and go to the university
