If he had to watch me and my sister and I had to go to the grocery store,

he worked at the jail and he plucked me and my sister in a cell and we had both our toys.

You know, so we knew all the cops, you know.

It's a rough humor, but one that serves Phyllis well in hard times.

While her dad visits family in Boston, Phyllis stays home.

She's comfortable on her own.

Even when she notices the green sedan parked across the street,

it's been there before.

She can tell there's a man inside the car,

but can't quite catch his face.

And every time you'd look over there,

the head would turn the other way.

And then it's if you did anything like walked towards it,

the car would take off.

But it was always in the same spot.

It wasn't the same day or it wasn't like continuous days.

There would be days in between.
