0:20.0	You're the night attendant, and you've held this position for three months.
0:25.6	Three months of tending the sacred fires, ensuring the dead burn properly,
0:30.6	maintaining the boundary between this world and whatever comes next.
0:35.6	The pay is terrible, but the apartment is close and the work is steady.
0:41.1	You tell yourself the stories old-timers share are just that.

0:47.0	Superstition meant to keep you alert during the long hours after midnight.
