Summary
Jim Packard was born and raised in Augusta, Maine. He attended the same high school that his mom and grandfather attended. He even had the same english teacher that his mother had. He grew up with kids in his neighborhood whose family were members of the local Country Club. He always told himself that he was going to be a member one day. He won a sales contest when he was younger and he knew early on he wanted to be in sales. He attended five different high schools and he couldn’t wait to go to college. He attended the local community college then he moved on to the state college. He made sure that his kids went to the same schools growing up. His best friend in high school had a wealthy uncle who guided Jim during college to visit the financial aid office. He had visited the office before and they told him they couldn’t help him. This time, he speaks with the person that his friend’s uncle told him to talk to and he received a scholarship. To say it changed his life is a massive understatement. An amazing example of paying it forward! We all need to strive to be just like the man! He buys the copier business he is working for, after a brief time he starts his own company. He committed to never lose an account period by over servicing all of their accounts. He built it into one of the most successful companies in that region of the country. He sells the company, consults for the company for a few years and then relocated to Arizona. Jim had the opportunity to get into network marketing and he learned a ton about personal development. He starts another company that he still works with today. He wrote a book called The Consistency Chain for Network Marketing. He is currently the Chief Marketing Officer for Ninja Prospecting, a partner in Consistency Chain LLC, a coach with The John Maxwell Team and the founder of Rainmaker Marketing, Inc.
