Good evening once again. I am Stephanie Ruhl, and we're now 238 days away from the midterms. And the war in Iran has caused serious volatility in the markets today. The Dow was down nearly 900 points this morning, but rebounded after the president made new promises just before the closing bell that the war in Iran is

nearing its end, and it closed up more than 200 points. Amazing how that works. President Trump also

told CBS News the war is very complete. And at the same time, he said that the straight of Hormuz

is open now and that he is, quote, thinking about taking it over.

But then he sent a different message to Republican lawmakers and then the media later on.
