Today we are talking with Clem Branner, who is the co-founder and co-owner of Venture Snowboards,

about why, after 25 years of making boards, Venture is now getting into the ski business.

Okay, well, actually, as Clem explains in this conversation, Venture has made a few skis here and there over the years,

but now they're looking to make a bigger push into manufacturing skis right in their factory in Silverton, Colorado.

So, of course, I wanted to ask, why skis, and why skis now? Klem and I also discuss what's harder or easier

about making skis as opposed to snowboards, and what exactly is this new ski of theirs called

the Sultan? And throughout this conversation, Klem also lays out his principles and philosophy behind

ski and snowboard design and manufacturing.
