The Cleveland Browns are back at practice at the cross-country mortgage campus on Thursday as they continue their preparations for the Jacksonville

Jaguars.

Today on from the podium we're going to hear from three players and the Browns Three

coordinators to give us their thoughts on the matchup with the Jaguars on Sunday.

The coordinators were up first. They spoke before practice started and special teams

coordinator Bubba Ventrone led the day off he talked about how good of a

special teams unit Jacksonville has and what impact Mike Ford Jr. has brought to

this team. I was curious if once it hits the ground what we teach it comes there, do you hope you can catch it?

Yeah, so Evans miss hit the ball, was a short kick kick came off the foot a little bit funky ideally we would love to feel

of that thing in the air because we had space to go and unfortunately we didn't

and then to go and unfortunately we didn't. And then, you know, coaching point on playing the balance is,

ideally you'd like to be about eight yards from the ball

and square, like head up on it, and then if it kicks right to you then be able to field it otherwise.

He said it was spinning in a funky direction.

It kind of was, you could see it on the replay.

But yeah, after that, get away from the ball because you

don't want anybody to have any like you know contact you don't want so

unfortunately we you know did not feel the ball I wish we would have been able to.

How much improvement have you seen out of the punt returning game since James has taken over the last couple of weeks?

I think it's been good. I think our interior has done a good job. I thought we're playing pretty well on the perimeter.

Have not had any penalties in recent weeks which is a positive thing so we'll keep emphasizing that but he's done a good job of getting

downhill and you know getting what he can get and I think we average like 15 return
