we discussed the Pacific, Guadalcanal had just been secured. With the island firmly in allied

hands, MacArthur and Halsey began setting the conditions for their continued drive northwest

up the Solomon Chain and New Guinea. In this episode, we will discuss the intervening period between the seizure of Guadalcanal

and the resumption of offensive actions in mid-1943, as well as the actions themselves,
