Yes, well, I'm Carlos Ron.

I'm Vice Minister of Foreign Relations for North America of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

I'm calling from Caracas right now where we are in our self-currentine hopefully to help this virus pass.

Great, and what's the situation like there?

Can you just describe it for folks, what the situation like there? Can you just describe it for folks with the situation in Caracas as well as in Venezuela?

Well, I think, fortunately, we haven't had that many cases so far.

I mean, the official count as this morning

was 70 cases, 15 of which are recovered.

I think the population is of course concerned as everyone should be and because of given the, you know, the magnitude of this

outbreak, but I think in general terms people are calmly, you know, trying to

maintain, keep the quarantine.

President Madour has given people the option of staying home.

We should, you know, the work was suspended, classes were suspended, non-essential work, you know, can stay home and try to, you know, find other ways.

And, you know, we're trying to maintain this quarantine so that we can slow down the

spread of the virus and you know try to deal with the best way we can.

Yeah so the last time you and I actually spoke, we were both in Caracas together, so it's good to have you on the show and to hear

from you and you know, a lot of us are thinking about what's going on in

Venezuela and so let's just jump right into it. There's you know here in the
