Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

This week I had lunch with Cardinal Barberon from Leon, France. We have a mutual friend, venerable Pauline Jericho, a young laywoman from Lyon who started a worldwide

rosary movement in the 1800s. We'll get to that in a moment. But first a miracle. In May of 2012, a

three-year-old little girl named Maureen died after choking on her food.

Her heart stopped in my arms, remembers Emmanuel, her father.

And though paramedics were able to revive her, it was concluded that she would, at best, live in a vegetative state.

Sadly, her condition deteriorated and the doctors advised her parents to end the

artificial means that sustained her life. It was then at the family and friends, along with Cardinal Barberon, began a novena to Pauline

Jericho.

As soon as the novenina was finished, a miraculous change occurred.

Maileen's neurological activity returned, and by December December she was released from the hospital in perfect

condition and after a thorough investigation it was determined Meline's miraculous healing was indeed brought about

through the intercession of Pauline Jericho, which has paved the way for her to be beatified in Leon on May 22 of this coming

year, 2022. Let us never forget the powerful intercession of those in the canonization process and turn to them for help.
