0:35.2	Democrat or Republican. right or wrong. My friends, in our society, every single topic
0:46.3	immediately polarizes, it fragments us farther and quickly leads us to rigidly drawn lines
0:53.1	between two opposing sides. Those on our perceived
0:57.4	side, well, man, they're right. There are allies. They're the good guys. Those on the other side are to be
1:04.8	pitied for their unawareness. They're supposed to be canceled for their ignorance. Or in some of the
1:10.2	cases, they're to be attacked for their ignorance or in some of the cases they're to be attacked for their
1:12.7	stupidity. So what ultimately is going to be the result of these elevating sessions of anger? What happens
1:20.7	as our mediate complicitly sow seeds of outrage each day? And what happens as our political
1:27.4	leaders jam a larger wedge into our society?
1:31.5	What are the consequences if we choose to continue down the hostile, divisive path that we're currently on?
1:39.1	Well, the answer was framed brilliantly in one of my favorite poems by James Patrick Kenny.
1:45.4	Written in the early 1960s, it is, sadly, highly relevant even today.
1:51.3	The poem is titled The Cold Within. Here it is.
1:55.7	Six humans trapped by happenstance in dark and bitter cold.
