This is the second and final chapter in the life of Spanish conquistadour Vasko Nunez de Balboa.

A couple of quick notes before we get started.

First, we are going to run into a lot of names in this episode, as Balboa marches up and down

Panama, defeating or align himself with the various native chieftains.

I can promise you that the pronunciation of these names is really suspect.

So just know that I've settled on a pronunciation and I'll try to stick with it for the entire

podcast.
