and this is the long

awaited speech from former President Donald Trump. Virginia Allen is on the

ground in Milwaukee with the Daily Signal team and she joins us now.

Virginia, how was the vice presidential nominee,

JD Vance's speech last night?

It was, I think what many people wanted it to be

or we're hoping it would be which was something that really was to

energize this ticket in particular right everyone's looking at Vance and Trump to

see okay what is the energy that Vance is going to bring to this combination of this Trump Vance ticket?

And some people are familiar with Senator JD Vance's story because of his book,

Hilliology, and also because of the movie

that was made from that book.

But I think it was fascinating to see

how Vance did on such a big stage and with so many conservatives present in the room

the energy was really high and it was sweet his wife came out first and introduced him and had some really

kind words to share about her husband and what really came through to me were two

things in particular during the end's speech one was how much of a family man

Vance is not only because he loves his wife dearly and praises his kids and

loves his children but he's very connected to his family roots and he spoke a lot about that, about where he came from.
