Took home the Oscar a few weeks ago. You guys tell us how that came about.

For me it was like last year everybody saw the same video. What happened to George and you know we were

all in quarantine and you know we finally had a reason to go back outside and it was just like

experiencing those marches and the protests and seeing how the energy around these names and

these people have been built up in a way that I had never experienced it before or like the whole

world was protesting and it was like through internalizing that and experiencing it every day because

we were going out like every day like just wanting to be out there every day and

when you when you're kind of internalizing that the pain of hearing a different name,

hearing Brianna story, hearing a monster or seeing George's story, you feel like you just

live in in that loop like emotions every single day you just go through it over and over and over

again and in that cycle you just you go from anger, sadness, hopelessness and then hopefully

back to being hopeful again and trying to figure out how can we stop this shit from happening

and when I had that idea of that thought of this feels like the worst version of Groundhog.

It was just like I got to do something with that. It just kind of stuck with me and it was

that script. I just went and wrote that script. I wrote it in like five days and yeah it just
