Back in 2005, New Zealand writers and comedians Tyker White TT and Jermaine Clement made a

short film called What We Do in the Shadows, a comedy about a group of vampires in a house

share in Wellington.

Nearly a decade later, after achieving major success with their HBO show Flight of the

Concords, Clement and What TT were able to adapt this short film into a feature.
