In this episode, I continue my interview with Kim Lin-Tran and Edward Bosco,

two of my former students who have gone on

to play main characters in the popular independent video game, Dust, and Elysian Tale. You can find it on

the Xbox Live arcade. If you haven't heard the first part of their interview, I suggest you

check out the previous episode before you listen to this one. In this episode, we discuss both the casting

process for the game, as well as some interesting acting lessons Edward and Kim Lynn learned

while working on it. While they each had very different paths to being hired as voice actors for

the project, once they were cast, they both faced the same challenge any voice actor has.

So how then did you get involved with Dust?

Dust is a very interesting story because I knew the casting director, Devin Mack, who I'm very good friends with and I thank him profusely every day for getting me involved in the project. But he was originally contacted to be an actor in the project. And unfortunately, he had to turn that down, but he offered his casting services because he lives up in Toronto and it was a union thing. But casting is kind of his passion. So they brought him on as the casting director. And when he kind of got all the details, he came to me and said, hey, do you want to cast this with me? And I said, yeah, absolutely.
