In this episode of voice acting mastery, I want to address a question I get a lot from people wanting to start

their voice acting career. It usually comes up when I'm invited to be a guest at an event or a

convention outside the Los Angeles area. People attending the event ask me all sorts of questions

about voice acting, which I'm happy to answer. One common question is, what city should I move to in order to pursue voice acting?

It's a very good question to ask, and it might seem like the best way for me to answer it would be just to name a city.

However, the answer to this question is not that simple.

Not only are there multiple cities that have thriving voice acting communities,

but there's a lot you should consider before you decide to move. You need to be able to

realistically assess where you are artistically, financially, and psychologically, before moving to a

different city to start a new career. Such a big decision has a lot of

important consequences that you'll want to weigh carefully. So I'm going to split this topic into two

episodes. The first episode will cover which cities have significant voice acting industries.

In the second episode, I'll discuss how you should assess yourself before deciding
