So Bob, it's that time of year where I'm trying to clean out all of my emails trying to

0:07.2

answer everyone's emails so we can start the new year anew. I'm trying to find my two-minute

0:14.0

timer. I'm actually going to use the two-minute timer for lightning round, but for me,

0:19.2

you don't need a restraint because you're not as narcissistic as I am. So I'm going to have this

0:25.3

two-minute timer and we're going to lightning round this shit. Oh, famous last word,

0:29.1

so we love it. Yep. This is the Psychology and Seattle podcast. I'm your host, Dr.

0:32.8

Kirkana. I'm a therapist and a professor. And I am your friend, Bob, from a graduate school

0:37.4

1:23.6

But she narrativeized it as me persevering and going for what I want. And I don't know if that's

1:30.6

a helpful approach for me. I get wanting to build myself a steam, but I feel like this is the most

1:37.1

I've ever been able to get out of a therapist being told that I'm actually great even when I do

1:42.4

things that fuck people over and hurt their feelings. I don't know if she has any other mode though,

1:48.3

if I bring it up, will she just keep doing it? Should I even be bothered by it? Bob, what do you think?

1:53.9

Well, you definitely should talk about it. I mean, imagine not talking about it.

1:57.6
