Uber and lift drivers are planning to stop driving across major US and Canadian cities on Valentine's Day

to protest declining pay, driver safety, and deactivations.

Drivers in 20 cities including San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, Phoenix, Atlanta,

Toronto, and Vancouver are planning to halt all drive-hailing services

for the entire day, typically one of the busiest for the industry.

Additionally, Wideshare Drivers United is planning a gathering outside Uber's Green Light Hub.

The Advocacy Group hopes to bring attention to declining fares that have made ride-hailing less profitable

for drivers.

According to Business Insider, drivers have blamed the rollout of up-front fares and high driver supply

for reduced pay and are asking for greater transparency as to how their pay is calculated.

Meanwhile, a Waimo-Robo-Robo taxi was vandalized and set ablaze in San Francisco's Chinatown District

Saturday night, the alphabet unit and authorities said, in one of the biggest attacks on a self-driving

car amid growing safety concerns over such vehicles. A crowd had surrounded the white SUV, broke its windows, and threw fireworks inside the vehicle.

In today's trading, after a cautious start, the major averages are gaining some traction.

Tech buyers are added again.

Notable winners are armed holdings up 30% and up 75% in three sessions.

Super microcomputer, a seeking alpha Pick, is up another 8% and is up more than 160% since

it's January 17th low.

Evercore ISI strategist Julian Emanuel says the foundations of FOMO are rebuilding in the market.

Gen AI and Goldilocks have catalyzed momentum-driven equities gains.
