I want to stick up for the rest of this station and I'd like to stick up for the local media because see

there's something happening right now that I detest.

I detest where we're at in 2024 in the world of sports and I detest the following.

Sports is not real. Sports is fun, okay? And these teams take themselves entirely too seriously. I will say it to you again.

They do not run the Carmano's Cancer Institute. That's actual serious work.

They're not at U of M hospital trying to save little children's lives.

Okay? These are billionaires, real estate plays, and fantasy, baseball, and football teams.

That's all it is.

Nothing more.

It's an entertainment product.

Why do I say it? I say it because where we're at in 2024, we are creating safe spaces for team

executives where they never have to answer a real question.

And it drives me insane.

And I think it's not fair to you, the fan.

Let me be unequivocal about something.

I understand the way I like to do radio doesn't jive with teams that they don't want their people here

Because I don't pay failty to these people. I don't care about them. I don't want to be their friend. I'm not

interested in their free meal. I don't need their tickets. I'm a man.

Okay, I'm an adult. And I like sports. You know what I don't like?
