V-backs with none other than the woman who coined the term Nancy Weiner.

Nancy's got story after birth story to debunk the myth that once a cesarean, always a

cesarean, along with suggestions on how to avoid cesareans in general.

This episode is going to be a little different from the others in that it

will be in two sections. The thing is, after I spoke to Nancy, I felt there were a few important

topics we didn't get to. Basically, I had more questions that kept running through my head,

so I called her back and she graciously agreed to do a second recording to answer them.

thrilled to have Nancy Weiner here to talk about V-backs because I'm pretty sure she's been assisting with them for longer than anybody else.

Nancy is a midwife who graduated with honors from her midwifery programs and trained in a variety of settings, including birth centers and midwifery schools in the United States, Canada, the border of Mexico, and Jamaica.

She co-founded the first cesarean prevention organization in the world and was instrumental

in the formation of the cesarean prevention movement.

In 2011, Nancy was selected as one of Mothering Magazine's Living Treasures.

She's an internationally known and sought-after childbirth speaker that trains

student midwives and teaches a variety of workshops, including grieving and healing after a

disappointing, upsetting, or traumatic birth experience, and bliss-born childbirth classes.
