Gearing from people around the world is a stark reminder that as much as COVID-19 changed our lives

0:08.2

here in the United States, it did not restrict our lives to the degree by a long shot that it did

0:14.1

in other countries. That we had a lot of guidance, but very little enforcement. People were free

0:20.4

to kind of take them and figure out which ones they were going to adhere to and which they weren't.

0:24.9

And so you see the dramatic differences in results based on that.

This is Sarah and Beth, you're listening to Pantsy Politics, the home of Grace-filled political conversations.

1:01.0

Hello, everyone. Welcome to another episode of Pantsy Politics. On today's show,

1:07.8

every day. And so if it's where you keep your listening life organized, Spotify is probably a great

1:44.0

place for you to listen to this show too. Follow us on Spotify if you're not already and make it

1:48.0

that much easier to catch new episodes when they come out on Tuesdays and Fridays.

1:52.0

2:00.0

Well, thank you. I think a framing about what's happening between Israeli and Palestinian people is

2:07.6

incredibly complicated and totally fraught here in America. And I think we project a lot of our

2:14.0

own stuff on it and miss a lot of what's really going on there. And so I try to start by remembering

2:18.9

that there are people like whole people just like you and me who are Palestinian and who are

2:27.8

Israeli who just want to live their lives and they want to have a job and a place to live,
