If you happen to have a small child, then you are likely well aware of what's known

as the yellow card.

This is the little booklet that the hospital gives you as soon as your child is born,

and it's basically a record of all their childhood vaccines.

In this book, it has gotten quite large over the past few years, coinciding with the

large numbers of vaccines that children are now required to take in order to be on schedule.

And many people don't know this.

But as of earlier this year, as of February, the CDC added the COVID vaccine to their

officially recommended list of immunizations.

Here was how this change was reported on over at TrustyCNN.

Quote, this means that the COVID-19 vaccine is now presented as any other routinely recommended

vaccine and is no longer presented in a special call-out box as in previous years.

This, in a sense, helps to normalize this vaccine and sends a powerful message to both

healthcare providers and the general public that everyone ages six months and older should

stay up to date with recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including a booster when eligible just

as they would with any other routinely recommended vaccine.

And indeed, if you take a look at the CDC's immunization schedule for children today, you'll

see that kids aged six months to four years old are supposed to receive three doses of the

Pfizer vaccine.

And then going all the way up until 18 years old, the child is recommended to continually

get more and more COVID boosters as they become available.
