Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio.

Eastern weekend has turned decidedly chilly this morning as the government prepares to launch itself yet again on another global attack on our freedoms, our choices and our

ability to return life to normal. There's talk of vaccine passports to attend sporting events,

mass testing to enable converts and concerts to go ahead, traffic light systems to control which

countries we can visit. All adds coronavirus infections are at their lowest levels since last September when we weren't even in a lockdown.

Ladies and gentlemen, this morning I will be firmly stating the case for freedom against the voices of state control.

I will be championing the rights of those businesses that have been smothered by constant shutdowns,

and I'll be asking for your support to beat these political and risk-averse manoeuvres from a prime minister who seems to be

scared of his own shadow. Enough, ladies and gentlemen, is enough. We've so far won a small victory

over pubs and restaurants, but there is still much more to be done. So please join the fight today

if you haven't already already because it may well be

that we have scored a little victory by making sure that they don't require COVID passports to

get inside a pub or a restaurant. But mark my words, they might come after it through the back door

and I'll explain why in a moment. First up this morning is Paul Bristow, one of some 40 Tory MPs who

have pledged to vote against the imposition

of vaccine passports, there's no law that says this has to happen. And as for mass testing,

here's an idea about mass testing MPs twice a week to see whether they're competent, to see

whether they're consistent, to see whether they're useful, and to see whether they're actually

value for money. Four yellow cards in a month and they're deselected.

I wonder if they'd go for that idea for mass testing.
