because today the narrative, ladies and gentlemen, is rather different to the one that we

expected, right? Because the circle is supposedly now complete. The Joint Council for Vaccination

and Immunisation said it best. On balance, we cannot recommend that children between the ages of 12 and 15 should be vaccinated

against COVID because the risks outweigh the benefits, while the risk of getting seriously

ill from COVID amongst those age groups is ridiculously small. With that in mind, the government

decided to seek new advice. Well, of course they did because they normally say follow follow the science. The science with the JCVI, though, was don't vaccinate

our children, right? However, Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty, who has no children

of his own, has taken it upon himself to tell parents to get their children vaccinated.

It is a campaign I have fought long and hard against. It is, quite

frankly, the most dangerous thing this government has done in the past 18 months of coronavirus

policy. Because I'll tell you for why, even the JCPI, even Chris Witty, even the government

advice is that we're only going to give children one dose because we're not sure how safe it is.

Really?

So why are you giving them one then?

Why how about you don't give them any doses at all?

The idea is outrageous enough, but it's been muddied even further by suggestions that children

could well be capable of making the decision to take the vaccine on their own, overruling,

if necessary, their own parents.
