Astonishing, really, that one doesn't know where to start chronicling, let alone analyzing the political shenanigans that continue to unfold.

Today is one of those days where I think it's important to remember that there are, of course,

other events unfolding, not just Brexit, parliamentary chaos and the Conservative Party conference

up in Manchester. I'm drawn to this story. I had a thought. I've got to stop saying that because it makes it sound like it's

somehow an out of the ordinary experience for me. But it occurred to me. I can't remember what I was

reading about millennials being responsible for something else awful. It's just a new phrase for

the youth of today, isn't it? When I was growing up, you'd often hear some old whiskery throwback talking about the yinths of today, or banging on about how things were

better, millennial just allows people like me to rail against younger humans. And I'm going to

excise the word from my vocabulary as a result of that.

But I do worry about change.

And there's an interesting story today about landlords essentially killing off the living

room in a house share.

It's another one of those moments where I feel just how old I am.

Because I would obviously look back upon the times when I lived in a

house share you well you need to go back a while so we'll begin that conversation with an

acknowledgement that things have almost certainly changed a lot since I was last looking for digs

but I find that really scary you know I just that, I have an image of loneliness there that is almost impossible to expunge.

Some of my house shares were with people that I already knew.

That's often the student way.

But some weren't.
