British woman Grace Millane (21) had the world at her feet. She had just graduated university and was taking a year off to travel the world. After spending weeks in South America, Grace arrived in New Zealand in November 2018. She enjoyed meeting the locals and making new friends.

In late November 2018, Grace matched on Tinder with a man named Jesse Kempson and the two decided to meet up. They enjoyed visiting some bars and restaurants in Auckland. The two hit it off and Grace decided to return to Jesse’s place for the night. She was last seen getting out of an elevator in his apartment complex and was never seen again. Jesse murdered Grace that night.

Over the coming hours, Jesse made internet searches including "rigor mortis", "extra large bags" and "carpet cleaner". He also went on another Tinder date that had been previously planned, while Grace’s body was in his room.

Jesse would end up confessing to Grace’s murder and has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum non-parole period of 17 years.

1:07.1	Yeah, it actually has stopped, thankfully, because I was wondering how we were going to record this morning with the rain sounded like a, I don't know, a waterfall, basically.
1:14.8	But, yeah, the weather has been wild.
1:16.7	There's some crazy East Coast low, which I think I actually mentioned in one of our other episodes, because we had one just a few weeks ago.
1:21.9	And they're usually pretty rare.
1:23.0	Like, I think we had one in 2021.
1:25.4	But in the last few weeks weeks we've had two. And this week's one has been horrible.
1:29.7	Like, I think 50,000 people have been displaced. 10,000 homes were at risk. I've seen so many
