He's just written a new book called Those Were the Days. It was heavily involved in the start-up of FC United. I think it was even his idea. So I thought it'd be an interesting person to speak to for United We Stand. Welcome, mate. Thanks for joining us. Thanks for having me. So why have you done a book? Well, it's been quite a long time in the works.

I originally had the idea in about 2000, I think, with Barney, with Barney Red News.

And back then we sent a proposal to Richard Kurtz editor at Mainstream, guy called Bill Campbell,

just laying out this idea we had for this 90s book.

And Richard wrote for a red issue and he wrote his own Manchester United books as well.

And a few of them were for mainstream.

I think the Red Army years at the time was for mainstream as well. But we never even got reply earlier.

So basically just always always had it in mind since then to do it.

And revisited it, maybe 2015, 16, didn't really go anywhere.
