I'm Maria Bear alongside John Stone Street.

John, this is, I was going to say this is one of the worst weeks in modern memory,

but last week was a really tough week too.

It feels like things are falling apart.

And I guess it's felt like that for a while now, but this week especially.

Do you feel that sense as well?

Yeah, I don't know.

I mean, it just seems now that shootings are coming in groups,

the last couple times that there have been shootings,

I'm thinking of a couple years ago.

It came in threes.

We've had three here in a row.

But there also is something about school shootings

and something else about elementary school shootings.

There's just the sense of the destruction or the loss of innocence.

There's so much happening right now, too, with the Uvaldi story where there's a high level of criticism being leveled at the police for what they did or what they didn't do. I don't know enough
