last night, invoking the nuclear brinksmanship of the Cuban Missile Crisis 60 years ago this

month.

As volatile Russian dictator Vladimir Putin loses his grip on his bloody, unprovoked war against

Ukraine and threatens to deploy catastrophic weapons.

Senior U.S. officials were caught completely off guard, they say, but by what some might

characterize as in-artful, perhaps even in some views, escalatory comments, they insist
