| 0:00.0 | Hey, everyone, and welcome to an impromptu bonus episode of the unofficial Universal Orlando podcast. I'm |
| 0:05.1 | Lee. I'm not joined by the guys because I'm jumping on this pretty much as it's happened, to be |
| 0:09.2 | honest, because we have some breaking news, but I am joined by, fresh from his return on the podcast |
| 0:13.1 | with Little Things, Seth Kavirsky. Hey, Seth. Hey, how are you all doing? Glad to have you on, |
| 0:17.9 | and I know this is probably an incredibly busy time for you, so I really appreciate you jumping on quickly with me. |
| 0:22.4 | Yeah, this is a little unexpected. We knew that today, the 21st of May, around 3 o'clock Orlando time, we knew that Universal would be presenting their plan to the county commission, but we didn't expect to get approved so |
| 0:40.3 | quickly. It's really strange when you consider that it's only been what? It's not even been a week. |
| 0:45.9 | No, it's just been a week. A week today, City Walk re-open. That's right, isn't it? |
| 0:49.7 | And just yesterday, Disney Springs opened. And today we know that Universal's plan is as of June 1st. |
| 0:58.0 | Their employees will be back on the job. |
| 1:00.4 | They will have a couple days of testing with selected, invited guests and some annual passholders. |
| 1:08.5 | You'll be there, Seth, will you, I assume for that one? |
| 1:10.4 | I assume that they will not invite me, but I'll do my best to figure out a way in there. |
| 1:16.0 | That's on the third and the fourth, and then June 5th, open to the public. |
| 1:23.0 | It is going to be really interesting, because it's not giving them a lot of time. |
| 1:28.0 | Because obviously, we believe that the whole point of opening city walk to what it is was |
| 1:32.5 | for them to get people in and learn how to deal with the situation because it's the same as |
| 1:37.3 | an attraction. At the end of the day, they don't know how this stuff's going to work until |
| 1:41.1 | they've got people coming in and actually having to deal with |
| 1:44.8 | social distancing and all the rest of it. Well, obviously, the reopening of CityWalk was not because |
| 1:52.0 | they thought they were going to make a ton of money off of Voodoo Donuts, but because they needed |
| 1:57.0 | a test run. And they've been heavily surveying guests who have been at City Walk. |
