At the end of a delirious weekend of Major League Soccer, had two games on the Saturday,

and it's been brilliant, so let's get into it.

Lots to talk about here, but let's start with the women's game.

The U.S. has qualified for next year's world cup in Australia, in New Zealand.

Only took two games to do it, which is due partly to the U.S. thrashing Haiti and Jamaica,

partly due to Mexico completely not showing up here at their own tournament.

As a result, the U.S. is in after just two games.

That's partly due to the 32 team women's world cup that's expanded, so conca-caf has

more slots.

I'm still here in Monterey ahead of the U.S. playing Mexico on Monday night, but not

a heck of a lot to say here, except Sophia Smith, very, very good in the 5-0 against Jamaica,
