Senator Jim Banks from the great state of Indiana. Welcome to the Hugh Hewitt Show. Hey, good to be with you, Kurt. Thanks for having me back. Well, let's get right to it. What the hell is wrong with your state? Why do you have any Democrat representatives? I know you fought against it, but what the hell were they thinking?

Well, we're just about eight or nine weeks away from the Republican primary in May, and we

have more primaries of state legislators than I've ever seen before you. All these state senators

that voted against redistricting in our state all have tough primary opponents that are endorsed

by President Trump and a lot of funding behind them to help give better leadership in our state

Senate. The state house passed the redistricting. The governor was for it. I was for it. President

Trump obviously was pushing for it, but it was a

small handful of establishment Republicans in the state senate who were against it.

Well, maybe you guys don't know out there in radio land, but because he's a workhorse and not a

show horse, Jim Banks has been fighting this battle for a long time. I know that

personally. And he's fighting another battle now, one that Donald Trump brought up the other day
