The holiday season is the perfect time for giving back. Whether it means getting involved in a local soup kitchen or donating toys and clothes. Take it one step further - imagine a company whose MAIN purpose is to sell one thing and then immediately donate another.
DIFF Eyewear is making that DIFFerence. In this episode we are talking to co-founder Chad Dime, who founded the company with his two other co-founders, Zach Gordan and Chad Jernigan. Together, they've created a brand that not only works directly with consumers but gives something back in return.
With a little extra care and some unique business strategies, DIFF Eyewear is truly making a DIFFerence in business!
(5:27) "There was a major gap in the sunglass market. They were dying for something to get created that was quality, something that was beautiful and designer eyewear that was at that level but didn't break the bank. That is where we decided to make this mission come to life."
(9:25) "I have a lot of friends that look at what we do at DIFF and say man how did you get involved in sunglasses...it's such a competitive market why would you go into something that had such a big barrier of entry and how did you do it. Again, I always urge people to kind of realize that what's being done, for the post part I can always see and take a look at something and see room for improvement."
(14:04) "Again, we started this thing by trying to sell this thing on the ground but we quickly pivoted outside kind of what I call that early entrepreneurial struggle and trying to do too much and too fast. We focused on one single company that was DIFF and the online capabilities and reaching an audience, and the day we did that is when we really say the trajectory of this brand go way up."
