My name is Taylor Rockwell and I am joined by no music, no preamble, no rhymes, just USA and Iran. I asked our illustrious co-hosts if they wanted to join us for this one. Ryan went to Starbucks. Graham saw, I think, the looks of intensity on our faces as we were preparing for this one,

and he decides to take a shower. So for this episode, I'm joined by my friend and yours, Mr. Joe Lowry. Hi, Joe. How we feeling, buddy? I'm feeling okay. I'm still using my strategy of coping by just not thinking about the game tomorrow. So far, it's working really, really well. I think it's all about to be undone as we talk about this game for 30, 40 minute, whatever it's going to be. But you know what, it's worked so far. If we just talk about this game until it starts tomorrow, do we get more or less nervous or do we just stay at the same level? I don't, are we about to find out? I'm with you, though. I had this the other day with the England game. I think I'd put it out of my mind right up until, I said this in one of the shows, I think, that there was a still image of Christian Roland at half time of an earlier game, and suddenly Butterflies Everywhere, not just because of my love for Christian Roldon. It's more of like an affection for Christian Roldon.

it's here, the USA England game, things could happen, things could go horribly wrong.

They didn't, but now we need them to go very right against an Iran team because, as we

record, things have gone okay for them, them being Iran.

Right now in Group B, we have England top with four points. They will be playing Wales on the final day. Then Iran in second with three, the USA in third with two, and Wales in last with one. So Wales could jump out to an early lead, and then Iran will have to maybe open up a bit more. But as things stand, a draw good enough for Iran, not good enough for the United States. So in my mind, Joe, that means we're going to see a very defensive Iran. Very much so. I'll run through the odds. According to 538, they have their World Cup predictions up on their website. England right now have a greater than 99% chance of making it through. Basically, the only thing that can mess with England is a multi-goal, I think maybe a four-goal

difference loss to Wales.

That's not going to happen.

So England are through.

Iran or second in that list in terms of qualification odds to the round of 16.

They're sitting at 58% chance of making it into the knockout stages.

All that needs to happen for Iran is most likely

for them to not lose against the U.S. or they need to make sure that Wales doesn't go out there
