Hello Sunshine, I'm Alexi Lollison, welcome the State of the Union Podcast.

We look at the beautiful game on and off the field through the lens of red white and blue

colored glasses this week, well I mean we're talking about basically one thing and

that is the US men's national team as they go through yet another window three games in

Basically a week so we will focus a whole lot on that well. We'll take a little trip around what's going on elsewhere around the world

when it comes to soccer. But first joining me, not as always, as a special guest because you

should know right off the bat if you're going to

click off fine go ahead but David Massey is not involved in this week's

state of the union he is flying back as we said last week he joined us

visiting us from New York visiting his family so we have

gone out and we have recruited I think a an able replacement in the form of my

friend and my colleague not necessarily my guiding light like David Mossy, but who is,

and certainly plenty of soccer knowledge when it comes to the great Stu Holden who is joining us today.

Alexi, first of all, thanks for having me.

Secondly, I will not be able to give you the depth

on Brazilian and South American soccer,

and global soccer for that matter, David Massey,

I won't be able to correct all your mistakes, but what I can do is sit here and we can yell and we can

commiserate and we can talk about US men's national team the last couple of days because boy it was stressful.

Yes nobody is asking you to be David.

Okay good because I can't do it. I feel uncomfortable in this seat.

There is thankfully only one of David Mossy.
