We hope you'll enjoy the teachings of Pastor Rick Warren right here. I'm so excited for all of you to learn about your shape. It might not be the shape you're thinking of right now.

Rick loves to use acrostics, and this one is S-H-A-P-E. Your shape, your spiritual gifts, heart,

abilities, personality, and experiences. And one of the reasons I love this series and have

shared it with so many friends

is because Rick talks about the way God wired you and why you need not just know your shape,

but how to use it to do the things that God designed you to do. So let's get right into it.

Here's Pastor Rick with part one of a message called Using Your Abilities.

God has never made copies of anything. He only makes originals. He's never made a copy of a tree,

never made a copy of a plant, never made a copy of an animal, never made a copy of a human

being. You are unique. There's nobody else in the world like you, never has been,

never will be. God uniquely designed you as an original. Why? Because originals are always

worth more than copies. God said, before you were born, I planned you, I thought you out. I have a

purpose and a plan for your life, and I have uniquely

shaped you for a specific purpose. That before you were born, God chose who your parents would be,

what DNA combination you would have, and he made you you you so you could accomplish what

he wants you to accomplish in the world. And God doesn't want you to be

anybody else. He wants you to be you. The Bible says in Job there on your outline, chapter 10,

verse 8, God's hands shaped me and made me. And God planned you for a purpose and he shaped you.

Now we use this little acrostic shape, S-H-A-P-E, to represent the five things that make you you.

Five things that make you different from everybody else.

First, you have spiritual gifts, and we looked at that a couple weeks ago.

What am I gifted to do?
